Pillion Ridding Banned Throughout Sindh Till 11 Muharram

Karachi: The Sindh Government has issued the notification to compel a ban on pillion riding till 11th Muharram in Karachi. Pillion riding had already been banned in Hyderabad due to bad law and order situation. Chief minister Qaim Ali Shah said in a meeting regarding law and order that law enforcement agencies to map the comprehensive security plan for Muharram.

Section 144 has been enforced in Sindh and will remain till 11th Muharram to maintain the Law and order situation. People cannot allow organizing procession or gathering for passing Muharram peacefully.

Meanwhile, senior citizens, women, children age below 12 years, special people and journalist have been exempted from the ban. Director General of the Rangers in Sindh, Maj. General Rizwan Akhatr, IG Sindh Police Fayaz Ahmed Leghari and AIG Karachi Police Iqbal Mehmood also discussed the law and order situation.
