Islamabad: Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) issued a strict code of conduct for media institution on Thursday. ECP also said that it will be follow during and after the general elections. According to media reports, Justice Fakhruddin G. Ibrahim was headed the commission. He also said that equal opportunities can be provided for the political parties to convey their messages among the people of country.
The commission said that Pakistan Electronic media and Regulatory Authority (PEMRA) will be monitored the political campaigns. No media group will be allowed to present analysis after the end of political campaign. Any negative propaganda against the political parties will be strictly prohibited.
Moreover, media group has been advised should avoid any types of criticism on personal matter of the applicant
