KARACHI: Jamaat-e-Islami Karachi and Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N) have agreed that leaving the so-called policy of reconciliation, indiscriminate action against terrorists and restoration of the government’s writ in the metropolis is the need of the hour. JI Karachi chief Muhammad Hussain Mehnati and PML-N leader Saleem Zia also vowed for a joint struggle against flaws in voter lists, here on Saturday. JI leader called on Saleem Zia on Saturday at his residence.
Saleem Zia welcomed JI leader, expressed his grave concerns over the deteriorating law and order situation of the metropolis and prolonged spree of killing. He assured JI delegation for his complete cooperation over the issues.
Speaking on the occasion, Mehnati said that that practically Karachi has become a slaughter house and terrorists were ruling over the city. He said that JI couldn’t keep mum over the situation and decided to take all political and others stakeholders of the city onboard so as to eliminate the issue on permanent basis. He said that fascists were ruling over the city with the help of a fake mandate and massive irregularities were made in voter lists to further rule over the city. He was of the view that it was an alarming situation and political and religious parties have to struggle jointly against it.
