Nouman Younas of Awami Web Joins NIC Karachi Cohort 16 as Startup Judge

Karachi: Nouman Younas, Co-Founder and Digital Media Strategist at Awami Web, has joined the judging panel for the National Incubation Center (NIC) Karachi Cohort 16 startup pitching sessions, bringing his experience in digital media, social media strategy, influencer marketing and digital entrepreneurship to the incubation process.

Nouman Younas participated as a judge on Day 1 of NIC Karachi Cohort 16, alongside prominent industry and ecosystem leaders. During the sessions, startup founders presented their ideas, MVPs and live products, giving judges an opportunity to evaluate their progress, business models, product potential and market opportunities.

For Nouman Younas, the judging experience provided an opportunity to engage directly with emerging entrepreneurs and understand the innovative solutions being developed by Pakistan’s next generation of founders. His professional background in digital media and marketing offered a perspective focused on customer engagement, digital positioning, brand building, market reach and growth strategies.

NIC Karachi Cohort 16 Brings Industry Experts and Founders Together

The first day of the NIC Karachi Cohort 16 incubation featured a panel of industry leaders and ecosystem experts who interacted with founders through startup pitches, questions and constructive feedback.

The Day 1 judging panel included Akbar Allana, Director, Alsons Group; Jehan Ara, Founder & CEO, Katalyst Labs; Muhammad Mehdi Hussain, CTO, GreenSign; and M. Nouman Younas, Co-Founder & Digital Media Strategist, Awami Web.

The sessions focused on several important areas for early-stage startups, including product development, business models, market opportunities, scalability and growth. Founders were challenged to explain their solutions, demonstrate progress and respond to questions from judges with experience across different sectors.

The participation of professionals from technology, entrepreneurship, business and digital media created a diverse judging environment for Cohort 16 startups.

Multi-Day Startup Pitching Sessions

NIC Karachi Cohort 16’s pitching and incubation activities continued with industry experts joining the judging panels on subsequent days.

Day 2 featured professionals including Imran Saeed of Encore Pay, Haris Ahmed of FAMCO Associates, Dr. Majida Kazmi of NED University, Arshi Wasique of Transvare Corporation, Arif Lakhani of Qist Bazaar, Jamshid Dastur of Smartronix, Fahad Khan of Meezan Bank, Waqar Ahmed of Securitanium and Ahsan Jabbar of A&J Ventures/global.pk.

For Day 3, the judging panel included Shehzad Rah of Mimsoft, Erum Alizai of Standard Chartered, Nabeel Ahmad of NymCard, Arshad Ali of bSecure, Mehzad Sahar of Engro, Saadia Kazmi of WATSUN Engineering and Solutions, Majid Noor of J. Junaid Jamshed and Junaid Naqi of Prestige Apparel.

The diverse participation reflects the broad range of expertise being brought into NIC Karachi Cohort 16, as startups receive feedback from professionals across technology, finance, manufacturing, banking, corporate affairs, cybersecurity, marketing and entrepreneurship.

For Nouman Younas and the other judges, the sessions represent an opportunity to engage with founders at an important stage of their startup journey and contribute industry perspectives as they work to develop and scale their ventures.
