Turkish serial Drilis Ertugrul is among the most popular drama in the Muslim world, recently Dr Zakir Naik answered whether it is permissible to watch this drama serial or not after he received multiple questions from people.
He said that almost 99% drama serial which are produced and aired will not fulfill the Islamic criteria which is required to label them as allow and permissible. The difference is only that some movies and drama contain more haram elements than other serials.
On watching episodes of Ertugrul Dr. Zakir Naik said that it contains music, mixing of opposing genders and women without proper hijab due to which it cannot be called permissible. He further added that if you are someone who doesn’t watch drama serials then it is haram for you and you should not watch it and rather read Quran and Seerah to get closer to Allah.
But he said there are many Muslims who are addicted to movies and drama serials from Hollywood and Bollywood. For such people he recommended the best option is to quit watching them or at least switch to some authentic and Islamic movies and serials such as The Message & Omer Series.
Similarly he said watching Ertugrul is better for people who are addicted with Bollywood or Hollywood movies because it is not like other series which are full of haram. Rather it
