Finance Minister Dr Abdul Hafeez Sheikh said that a delegation of International Monitory Fund (IMF) would visit Pakistan in November, adding that we cannot beg for new debts, relations with IMF would continue in future also. He said that we had not fulfilled the conditions of previous package and now we are discussing about the conditions for next package, adding that Pakistan would continue getting technical aid from IMF.
This he said while addressing Pakistani community in Washington, adding that a delegation of IMF would come to Pakistan in November to discuss the stand by program.
According to private TV Pakistan has not fulfilled the conditions of IMF to raise the prices of electricity and increasing the text net due to which the IMF refused to issue final tranche of the debt.
According to the finance minister during the visit of IMF delegation the new loans would not be discuss, adding that other matters would be discuss during the meetings. (SANA)
