Rawalpindi: The plane of President Asif Ali Zardari had a fortunate escape when he as leaving to attend the 12th Summit of Economic Cooperation Organization on Monday. A technical fault was found in the plane just after its take-off from the port and therefore the pilot made an immediate landing. The flight took-off from Benazir Bhutto International Airport when the incident took place.
According to the reports the plane took-off from the Chaklala Air Base at 7:10 pm for Azerbaijan and as again landed back at 7:27 pm when the pilot noticed the mishap in the craft. The President and the members of his committee were taken to the passengers lounge after the mishap was detected.
The sources also informed that the fault emerged in the craft was time taking and the engineers declared that the flight will not be save enough after the removal of fault. Due to this, the president and his committee were shifted to the Civilian portion and another plane was arranged for the president.
