A Facebook user in a group asked: “How to work in such a place where everybody hates you? No one talks to you? and so many negative people around you.
People replied and gave their views on this question which are below:
At times it feels… But make sure your performance speaks louder than their Hates.
Salaam can Help!
Say AsSalam o alaikum daily to them in a voice and tone they can hear. Even if they don’t reply keep at it daily. And don’t be disheartened. Eventually they will start responding one by one. Some will then try to engage you in conversation themselves. This is tried and tested personally.
Their evil behavior is a loss only for them. All I can say is that you perform at work the best way you can. Deliver results and don’t engage them in conversation other than work related. In the meantime if it gets really frustrating for you, try looking for other jobs also. A hateful environment is not a conducive environment.
Remain Positive
You have to do own work rather than what is happening around you simple.. You would also far away from dirty politics and be Positive. Performance is good weapon to shut their mouth.
It’s really hard to be honest to work in such environment. You may look for another. What about support from ur immediate boss? You may change their attitude by showing your positive side. Try to interact with them having general discussion
Switch to New Job?
Leave! Switch your job! It’s not worth trying to please people who hate you!
Don’t think too much about the others, focus on your work and strategy to spend the time span from 9-5 daily, think about the things which make you happy and satisfied, meanwhile search for the relevant role in other companies and keep on applying,
Shahrukh Khan and Haters
Even there are people who hate Shahrukh Khan, but it didn’t affect him making the wealthiest celebrity in the world, no matter how high you climb the ladder of success, there will still be haters because that’s how it goes, as per my experience, even if things around you seem all shitty, still there is some tiny fraction of good thing going on in between, to be appreciated, cheered and lived about!
Caste & Religion is the Reason?
Try to analyze why their opinion is hostile. Are they jealous of your achievements and consider you competition or is it based on your caste creed, religion.
If you exceed and they are jealous there’s not much you can do but be polite and try to involve the weakest link. If it’s based on your caste creed or religion you need to elaborate on the positives and let them understand so that the fear is mitigated.
