Hasilpur: Former foreign minister Makhdoom Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that the election conducted under the supervision of President Asif Ali Zardari would not be transparent. An impartial setup is very necessary for transparent and fair elections otherwise the public would not accept the elections results based on rigging, he added. This he said while talking to media at his residence at Hasilpur on Thursday. He said that Mian Nawaz Sharif of PML-N, Imran Khan of PTI, Syed Munawwar Hassan of JI and members of civil society should join hands on one point agenda to get rid of the corrupt government, adding that the nation has build hopes with these leaders and now they should their seriousness to the nation against the corrupt government and bad governance.
He said that none of any institution of accountability is functioning in the country, the public accounts committee is being ridiculed, and if anybody talked about these issues in both houses of parliament would be defamed, and then where the masses would go if they not came on the roads. He said that when democracy of a country faces threat then the government will consult with masses, but it is not possible in Pakistan and the corrupt government for long life of its government cannot contact with the masses.
He said that his announcement regarding joining of new political party would be made in the public meeting at Ghotki on 27th November, adding that he will join new party by considering the public will. He said that all opposition parties in the countries should resign from the assemblies to pave way for the re-election before time and let the nation to get rid of the corrupt group of Zardari.
He said that an impartial set up is necessary for free and fair elections, adding that the rigging in the election would create disturbance in the country and pave the way for dictators to take over.
