Port Elizabeth: After losing the 1st test match the New Zealand blackcaps were eager to bounce back but again it was not their time. On the first day the after winning the toss South African skipper Graeme Smith decided to bat. The decision was well taken and at the end of the day they ended up with 325 for the loss of 4 wickets.
On the second day the South African batsmen domination continued and just after the tea break the captain declared the innings at 525 for 8. After the break New Zealand batsmen were not able south African pace attack and at the end of day New Zealand score was 47 for loss of 6 wickets. The next day the situations turned worst and it was the wrap up of 1st innings of New Zealand at score of 121.
The new Zealanders were forced to face the follow on. But again the start of their 2nd innings was not convincing and at the end of the day they ended up with 157 for 4. The fourth day play has started and New Zealand need another 227 runs to avoid another embracing innings defeat. New Zealand were bowled out for 211 runs in second innings. South Africa won the match by an innings and 193 runs and also win the series 2-0.
