‘Digital Heroin’ is the word coined by Chinese researchers for smartphones, iPads and Xboxes. Dr. Peter Whybrow calls it ‘electronic cocaine’ because it affects our brain in the same way as cocaine does.
In a recent article published in New York post Dr. Nicholas Kardaras discussed the addiction among children’s, especially those below 10.
He shared stories of different children’s who were active players and loved reading but after digital addiction they changed. They stopped playing physical games, they become unattracted towards books and even become aggressive.
In some case they started dreaming about games or faced other psychological problems. One child was found sitting on his bed late at night, his mother had to shake him so that he may come back to his senses.
Dr. Nicholas Kardaras said that I have treated drug addicts and it is easy to treat them that treating digital addicts.
