United Nations has appointed singer Shahzad Roy as a National Goodwill Ambassador for Pakistan. His designation as the goodwill ambassador was announced through the official twitter account of United Nations Office on Drugs & Crime (UNODC).
Yury Fedotov, Executive Director of UNODC, said that Shahzad Roy is not only a famous singer who is popular among youth but he is a social and humanitarian worker.

Shahzad Roy said that it’s an honor to be the National Goodwill Ambassador of UNODC. Appreciating the work of United Nations he said “United Nations work is commendable in the fields of criminal justice, drug demand reduction and HIV/AIDS prevention.”
