Islamabad: At the beginning of September, the Government has given some relief to the public and announced price reduction of the fuel. Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) prices are reduced by Rs.4 in the region 2, i.e. Sindh and Punjab, while in the region 1 i.e. Khyber Pukhtunkhwa and Baluchistan, the prices are reduced by Rs. 0.53. Similarly, petrol and diesel prices are also reduced by the OGRA to provide some relief to the public.
Both the diesel and petrol prices are reduced by Rs.3, after that petrol prices fell down to Rs.73.76 per liter, while diesel prices fell down to Rs.82.04 per liter. The reduction in the prices of CNG and petroleum products is the continuation process of reduction in the international market. In the previous month, major reduction in the petroleum prices have occurred in the international market but the Government of Pakistan has not reduced much as compare to the reduction in the international market.

After the reduction of CNG prices in all the provinces, the price in the region 1 fell down to Rs.75.82 per kg, while in the region 2 the price of CNG is now Rs.67.50 per kg.
