Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has launched a new initiative through which citizens can register their complaints against corruption and malpractices of tax authorities in Pakistan.
Few months ago FBR issued Terms of References for their Integrity Management Cell (IMC) and Regional Integrity Committees (RIC) to tackle the issue of corruption within FBR. Even the purpose behind establishment of a dedicated cell and regional committees were also aimed to end malpractices by tax authorities.
Now with the launch of this new compliant system any citizen from any part of the country can register and lodge their complaints through a simple process.
How to Submit your complaint?
Citizens can submit their complaints through multiple forums including:
- By calling at 051-111-772-772
- By emailing at complaints@fbr.gov.pk
- Through FBR official website for complaints (http://crm.fbr.gov.pk:9090/)
- Sending your complaint through post to FBR (HQ), Constitution Avenue, Islamabad
- Visiting IMC or RIC in person
On submission of complaint a tracking number will be issued to the complainant, who will be required to submit evidences regarding the case.
The Integrity Management Cell (IMC) will evaluate the case and will forward it to relevant Regional Integrity Committees (RIC) and probe committee. Relevant actions will be taken by Incharge of IMC after committee completes the investigation.
During this whole process the complainant will be able to track the progress through the tracking number which was issued when complaint was submitted.
