Karachi: The Chairman of Pakistan International Airlines, former Air Chief Marshall Rao Qamar Suleman has resigned from his post of Chairman PIA citing unknown reasons. Captain Junaid Yousuf has been made the standing Managing Director PIA who is now the new MD PIA, local news channel reported Tuesday.
According to our sources, the reasons that are being told by the sources inside PIA include the conflict between him and other senior members and officials of PIA.
However, the reason that had been made public is the health concerns of Former Airforce Chief Rao Qamar Suleman. It is to mention here that Rao Qamar Suleman took the charge of Chairman PIA in May this year after the resignation of former Federal Defense Minister Chaudhry Ahmed Mukhtar.
Under his chairmanship, PIA introduced many interesting service for its customers including Fori Ticket Service and also reduced air fares for domestic flights.
