Policeman Shot Dead At Islamabad On Family Dispute

ISLAMABAD: A Sub-Inspector of Federal Police has been killed when an employee of Capital Development Authority (CDA) opened fire on his ex-wife and police party in Islamabad Sector I-10/2, whereas, another policeman and said lady got serious injuries. The spokesperson of police told that this incident occurred early morning on Friday at Islamabad Model College for Boys No. 07 in Sector I-10/2.

He told that accused CDA employee Masood Illahi exchanged serious words with his ex-wife, adding that former husband and wife were involved in a dispute over their son in school during which woman told the school administration that his ex-husband has weapon. As the police arrive Masood Illahi opened firing on the police and his ex-wife leaving one police Sub-Inspector Riaz Nadeem killed and police constable Muhammad Ashraf and woman Gulshan Bibi hurt.

The injured have been shifted to hospital for treatment. The accused managed to flee the scene; meanwhile Police has started investigation into the matter and has raided on various places to arrest the accused.

Sources told the former husband and wife were present at school to get the certificate of their child Hamza Massood, who was living with his mother.
