People consider North Korea to be a police state which is poor and can’t even produce its own wheat but now a new report has revealed that North Korea can be among the richest countries of the world if it starts extracting its natural resources.
The mountainous surface of North Korea is rich in Iron, Zinc, Copper, Gold, Graphite and more than 200 other minerals.
The worth of the minerals vary from research to research but it is expected that they worth at least $6 trillion. A South Korean Research Institute claims that they worth more than $10 Trillion.
Though North Korea is mining copper but because of lack of technology and investment the country is unable to fully benefit from the mining.
China is able to benefit from the poor situation of North Korea by purchasing the iron & zinc ore at cheap prices.
