LAHORE: Federal Law Minister Babar Awan said Sunday that the PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has tried to fool the nation through the issue of an anti-media resolution, saying that the former premier should unveil the real culprits, instead of using MPA Sanaullah Mastikhel as a scapegoat.
At the Lahore airport, Awan said that some political parties have proposed bringing in a new legislation in the Parliament against fake degrees and demanded that discussion should be opened and MPAs should discuss this.
The central government, he said, believes in the freedom of press and is not in the favor of imposing any restrictions on the media.
