Punjab Government is known because of its multiple Metro Projects in the province but it is being said that Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif received kickbacks from Chinese companies in Multan Metro Bus Project.
Pakistani media reported that Chinese regulators while investigating against a firm ‘Yabait’ found problems & discrepancies in their financial statements. The company have business links with Pakistani company ‘Capital Engineering & Construction Company’ which owned by Shahbaz Sharif, according to the claims of media.
Thx for advice. This Chinese company Yabeite was not working in Pakistan. It made up some fake letters to cheat government and was punished. https://t.co/iJg2Cqj7Zw

But Chinese Ambassador Zhao rejected that the company was working in Pakistan and said that it used fake letters to cheat government and action have been taken against the firm.
Imran Khan also raised questions on the alleged corruption and asked for proper investigation. Because of political campaign against Panama Papers Nawaz Sharif was removed from his post by Supreme Court and many hope that the same will happen with CM after a proper investigation.
Like the Panama Papers exposed NS & family's corruption, the Chinese have exposed Multan Metro fraud directly implicating Shahbaz Sharif

People on social media also asked Supreme Court to take action against the alleged corruption. Previously other projects by Punjab government also become controversial because of their costs including Lahore, Islamabad and Rawalpindi metro bus projects.
Orange Line Project which is being constructed at a cost of $1.6 billion will also face controversies after recent allegations against government projects. Though the project is much needed for the city but the cost and the involvement of the ruling family in construction firm raises questions on such huge projects.
Though there have been media reports about these corruption, political parties held press conferences, media persons raised questions but the reality is no proper investigation have been done without which these statements are only allegations.
I request Chief Justice of Pakistan to take Suo Motu notice of Multan Metro Corruption Scandal. RT if you agree.
