Muttahida Qaumi Movement’s Candidates Tahir Khokhar and Saleem Butt win from LA-30 and LA-36 respectively in Azad Kashmir Election 2011. MQM candidate from LA30 Jammu-One, Tahir Khokhar scores 30,326 votes and declares winner while PML (N) candidate Abdul Rasheed Mirza could get 18,301 votes. IN LA-36 Valley-one, MQM candidate Saleem Butt scores 4,125 and win this seat easily.
In many cities MQM clean sweeps by getting all votes and make new record while in many polling station Voting Turnout remains 100% which also consider as record in this election. According to election commission, majority of voters of LA-30 & LA-36 live in Karachi. After unofficial announcement of result, MQM workers and members celebrate this victory and they also distribute sweets among people.
On other hand , Some Political critics say that it’s impossible that thousands of people came in yesterdays voting while many polling station were looking Deserted and only party workers were available.
