The King of Brunei is the second richest King in the world with an estimated wealth of $20 billion. Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah is from the royal family which is ruling Brunei from many years.
His brother Prince Jefri owns more than 2,300 cars dozens of yachts. This reflects how rich the King himself is.
Sultan Hassanal lives in a palace of 1,788 rooms and 257 bathrooms, it is the second biggest palace in the world with state-of-the-art facilities, second only to China’s ancient forbidden palace. He also loves car and has a garage with 110 cars, and five personal swimming pools.
But the king of Brunei is not the only one who is benefited from the rich petroleum sources which were discovered in the small island, rather Brunei is second only to Singapore in terms of Human Development Index.
It is ranked 5th in term of GDP per capita which shows how well settled the common citizen of Brunei is, it is also considered a ‘developed country’ while most of Asia is still considered under developing countries.
Brunei is a small Asian country with a Muslim majority and is rarely mentioned in the news because of the peace and stability it has and the insignificant political role in world arena.
