An American woman for state of Virginia won a lawsuit of $110.5 million against giant company Johnson & Johnson. She claimed that the regular use of Johnson & Johnson baby powder and ‘Shower to Shower’ products caused cancer.
This is not the first ruling in which the company was ordered to compensate the customers on failing to mentioning the cancer risk. Previously the company lost lawsuits and was asked to pay $72 million, $ 70 million and $ 55 million.

62 year old Lois Slemp was diagnosed with ovarian cancer in 2012, she believes that the talcum powder was behind the cause of her cancer which she used for 40 years. Because of her illness she was not able to attend the hearing but her testimony was played through a audiotape in which she said “I trusted Johnson & Johnson. Big mistake.”
J & J in a statement said that there is no scientific evidence which links cancer with talcum powder, we will appeal and are preparing for further trials. Previous decisions against J & J are also under trial.
