Islamabad : Sardar Ghulam Sadiq Khan, Speaker Legislative Assembly, AJ&K has said that President Asif Ali Zardari’s rock-hard policies assure complete political and diplomatic support to the Kashmir’s till their absolute freedom. He was addressing at the reception organized by the PPP workers here at Islamabad. Sardar Ghulam Sadiq said PPP Government is striving hard in term of planning for promotion of education, health and creating jobs for the young lot without any discrimination.
I hope the workers will continue to play their role for promotion of democracy to achieve the mission of Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and Mohtarma Shaheed Benazir Bhutto to alleviate poverty and bring prosperity, he added.
Sardar Ghulam Said that people’s party strongly believes that the right of self-determination, in accordance with UN resolutions, is central to the solution of the Kashmir conflict. The UN resolutions in 1948-49 recognize this right and clearly stated that, he added: He said Future status of the state of J&K shall be determined in accordance with the will of the people and through the democratic method of a free and impartial plebiscite.
Sardar Ghulam Sadiq said that the sacrifices of Kashmir people will not go in futile and their struggle for freedom in India cannot be muted, adding that thousands of lives have been lost due to the escalation of both the insurgency during struggle of the freedom.
Sardar Ghulam Sadiq said that I do not believe on Brothers politics. We all are brothers and all families are like a Guldasta so that is the beautify of democracy, he added.
He said that the people have given me the command and I respect their decision. My position as speaker Assembly is due to your hard work and without the collective help of workers I cannot survive so your contributions will radical changes in Kashmir.
He said the PPP government is struggling to make the democratic institutions so strong under the constitution of Pakistan. Any undemocratic move by any power could be a violation of constitution and will be deemed as seditious, he added.
