Washington: The late pop icon star Michael Jackson’s new album “X-Scape” is released on May 13 which contains eight of his old songs and has chosen by Epic Records chairman LA Reid. Fans can preorder the new album, titled “Xscape,” on iTunes, but it will be in stores around the world on May 13, the company said.
“Michael left behind some musical performances that we take great pride in bestowing through the vision of music producers that he either worked directly with or expressed wish to work with,” and “We are very proud and honored to present this music to the world.” said Reid.
The tracks were then modernized by the likes of Timbaland, who works with Justin Timberlake, and Stargate, who have produced Rihanna and Beyonce. Reid was apparently allowed unlimited access to four decades of Jackson’s vocal material in order to complete the album.
XSCAPE‘s title track was produced and written by Jerkins and Jackson. The King of Pop’s record label has continued to release new material since his death in 2009, including which featured six previously unreleased recordings. A Deluxe Edition of the record will also be released which will include all of the sourced Michael Jackson recordings in their original form.
“Michael was always on the cutting edge and was constantly reaching out to new producers, looking for new sounds,” said John Branca and John McClain, who are co-executors of Jackson’s estate. “He was always relevant and current. These tracks, in many ways, capture that spirit.”
