At least four more dengue patients were died in Punjab on Monday including three women.
Meanwhile Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif announced to give compensation money to the heirs of victims of dengue within three days.
Amna Jan 36, resident of Krishan Nagar, Hina 18 resident of Model Town and Shah Jahan 42 of Thokar Niaz Bag died due to dengue virus at Lahore; meanwhile one women died due to dengue virus at Allied Hospital Faisalabad.
At least 238 people have died of the dengue virus in Punjab, out of which 218 are from Lahore.
In the last 24 hours, 450 new cases of dengue have been reported in Lahore, while over 1,206 patients are being treated at various hospitals.
According to the health department 16928 patients of dengue virus has so far been recovered from the disease.
On the other hand, Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz directed to shift the government garbage stores out of Lahore city.
He said that for elimination of dengue virus the training of doctors is very necessary and no negligence would be accepted in this regard.
