ISLAMABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested 189 people whose involvements in the corruption scandals of the government institutions have been found whereas FIA has recovered over 5 billions of rupees during the investigation.
According to sources, the report which have been sent to the interior ministry by FIA keeps the details of the scandals of Employees Oldage Benefits Institution (EOBI), Trade Development Authority (TDA), National Insurance Company Limited (NICL), National Police Foundation (NPF), Capital Development Authority (CDA), Public Works Department (PWD) and Hajj.
According to the sources of interior ministry, the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has arrested 189 people who are involved in the corruption of government institutions whereas FIA has submitted the challans against 135 corrupt people so far.
According to sources, 54 corrupt people are under investigation of FIA who are involved in mega scandals whereas FIA has also recovered 5.111 billions of rupees during the investigation of the mega scandals
