After years of work and construction Orange Line Metro Train is near its completion for which the first consignment of the trains has reached Lahore. Government of Punjab has announced that the official inauguration of the metro train will be on 25th December.
Orange Line is a track of 27 kilometer on which 27 trains will be used to facilitate the transportation of civilians. Each train will consist of 5 coaches with a capacity of 1,000 passengers, which means that in total it has a capacity of 27,000 passengers.

Almost 85% of the construction work is complete, revealed Khawaja Ahmad Hassan who is the chairman of the steering committee of Lahore Orange Line Metro Train Project.
The track will cover the area from Ali Town to Dera Gujjran in 45 minutes at a speed of 80 kilometers/hour. The contract for the train is given to a Chinese company which will operate it for 5 years.
