Lahore: Head of Jamat ud Dawah, Prof. Hafiz Muhammad Saeed highlighted India’s construction of dams in Occupied Kashmir as a mischievous plan to economically devastate Pakistan. The water aggression by India is a serious threat for Pakistan’s crops and agricultural industry. If India completes its Ladakh dam project, even Islamabad will become unsafe. JuD’s volunteers are busy in rescue operations throughout the flood-affected areas.
Motorboats are widely being used to save the lives of people. Moreover, the belongings and livestock of victims are being shifted to safer places, and cooked food, drinking water, and other amenities are also being distributed among the victims. Leaders and politicians must end all differences and aid the flood-affected victims. PM Narendra Modi’s offer to assist the flood victims in Azad Kashmir is tantamount to rubbing salt on the wounds of Pakistani and Kashmiri people. Jamat ud Dawah is prepared to carry out relief operations in Occupied Kashmir.
In his address at a press conference conducted by Falah-e-Insaniyat Foundation, Prof. Hafiz Saeed said that PM Narendra Modi is trying to win the hearts of Pakistani people but he also has to make it clear that his government is responsible for the devastation due to flooding in Pakistan. Also present at the press conference were head of JuD Lahore Molana Abul Hashim, JuD spokesperson Yahya Mujahid, Molana Idrees Farooqui, and others. Prof. Hafiz Saeed had previously visited the affected areas and assessed the FIF rescue operations being carried out. Furthermore, he himself distributed food packs among the affected families. The aid recently distributed among 150 families in Rana Town was donated by the president of APCA Union Punjab, Mian Muhammad Mustafa. One thousand flood victims are being provided with cooked meals on daily basis.
He further said that the government should realize and address the root cause of excessive flooding and do more than just merely giving condolences to families of victims. If India is not prevented from this water aggression, Pakistan will have to suffer more devastation. This is not the time for politicians and organizations to indulge in conflicts. The whole nation must unite and work to address the situation. The continuous firing on LoC, water aggression and other forms of terrorism by India need to be dealt with on urgent basis.
