Dukhtar is a Pakistani movie that will be released in all cinemas across Pakistan in August. The movie is about a mother and her child. The mother in an attempt to save her ten year old daughter from being married to a tribal leader runs away from her home with her daughter. A deadly hunt for the two pursues as the two run for their lives.
The movie is a road trip thriller starring Samiya Mumtaz, Mohib Mirza, Saleha Aref, Asif Khan, Ajab Gul, Samina Ahmed, Adnan Shah, Tipu, Abdullah Jaan and Omair Rana. The story has been penned by Afia Nathaniel, who has also written the screenplay. It has been directed by Afia Nathaniel as well. Among the producers of the movie are Afia Nathaniel, Muhammad Khalid Ali, Muhammad Nadeem Nawaz, Cordelia Stephens, Carsten Aanonsen, Shrihari Sathe, Noman Waheed and Thea Kerman.
The movie has been made as a joint collaboration between Zambeel Films, The Crew Films, Indie Film, Mint Productions, and Infinitum Productions. The concept of the movie is different and hence appealing. The actors selected for their roles have already proved their mettle. So viewers can have high hopes with this thriller drama shot in the barren mountains of Pakistan.
