Desi ghee is hard to find in the cities but is widely used in small towns and villages, many people especially purchase it from villages to use it during breakfast. But after years of propaganda many people are confused that either it is healthy or unhealthy to use ghee?
There is difference in health effects from desi (natural) ghee and artificial ghee which are being sold by different brands as ‘Banaspati’.
Desi Ghee is far lower than butter in terms of fat, it has a high smoke point which means you can cook it up to 250 but it will not break down into harmful free radicals.
It is also rich in vitamin A,D, E, K and is also rich in fatty acids which are absorbed by liver directly and converted into energy. It is also lactose free and contains no sodium.
