Lahore: Chinese Government is interested to establish a Chinese University of Technical and Vocational Education in Lahore- province Punjab. The official sources have confirmed that the project will be initiated by February next Year- 2018. They mention the reason that China interested in exploring the culture rich province Punjab.
According to local media reports that The Punjab Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) had signed an agreement with the Tianjin University of Technology and Education in May- this Year- in order to build a collaboration set up between University of Technical and Vocational Education and the Tevta.
Basically, this University of Technical and Vocational Education is being offered by the Chinese Tianjin University; therefore, Chief Minister of Punjab also notifies a committee under the school educational ministers to coordinate with the Tianjin University administration.
As a result, the committee held many meetings and discussed various things, such as the courses being offered, university budgeting, faculty hiring, and many other related major issues.
But, it is being expected that the university will be run by the Chinese faculty and consultants to ensure the production of quality human resources.
In addition, the Chief Minister of Punjab- Shahbaz Sharif- also set up a steering committee in order to make sure the new Chinese University Establishment by February next year 2018.
This university by Chinese Government would be welcomed as an initiative by the people of the country-Pakistan- because it will open new doors of modern equipped technical and educational opportunity for the youths of this nation.
