Chinese Students Are Learning Urdu To Find Job In Pakistan

chinese universityIt was believed that China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) will create new jobs for Pakistani students and skilled workers but now it seems that Chinese citizens will be the one who will more benefit from the china inclined economic policies.

Chinese students are already preparing to get the maximum benefit and are learning Urdu in their universities so that they will be able to avail the best form Pakistani industry.

Peking University introduced Urdu classes in 1951 but it was after CPEC that Chinese students are showing interests in the language. With the help of Pakistani embassy Beijing Foreign Studies University (BFSU) also introduced Urdu classes in 2007.

Chinese avoid learning other languages and prefer to get educated in local language, this can be compared from the numbers of students learning Chinese in Pakistan which has increased to 460 in NUML while in China only few dozen are learning Urdu.
