Karachi: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is thinking to name the icon Test series between Pakistan and India after the two former all-rounders Imran Khan and Kapil Dev. Both the legendary cricketers have led their team to victory in Cricket World Cups. According to sources, naming the series after star players was suggested by former PCB Chairman Shehryar Khan who advised the Indian Board to name the Test Series after Imran Khan and Kapil Dev.
The sources say that Test series between Pakistan and India, after a short ODI series in December, is likely to be named as Imran-Kapil trophy.
The International Cricket Council has already named the India-Pakistan Cricket Series scheduled to be held in December as Icon Cricket Series. It is expected that notable personalities from Pakistan including President and Prime Minister will visit India to witness the much awaited series between the arch rivals.
