Peshawar: Unidentified armed men opened fire on a key local Awami National Party (ANP) political leader Sabiullah Khan in the northwestern province of Pakistan Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. According to the reports, Sabiullah Khan was the vice president of the district.
Police captured the area soon after the incident. He was attacked in the Darabo Village and another person was badly injured in the incident, the police officials informed the media. Local Senior Police Official of the district Wahid Gil confirmed the death of the ANP leader soon after the attack. He informed that Khan was going to his village when he was attacked.
According to the reports Khan was recently promoted as vice president. His dead body was shifted to the DHQ hospital. No militant group has yet claimed the responsibility of the attack.
