ISLAMABAD: Afghan government has agreed to resume peace talks with Taliban with the help of Pakistan, America and China. This breakthrough appeared during the sessions held among the four countries on sidelines of Hear of Asia Ministerial Conference in which other countries announced to favor this talk process.
The Afghan Foreign Minister Salahuddin Rabbani disclosed it before journalists. He said that the real subject of the sessions was peace in Afghanistan, adding that our allies have ensured us to cooperate in this regard that related-party will be brought to the table of peace talks.
A communiqué issued after the end of Heart of Asia Conference has emphasized on all the Taliban groups of Afghanistan and other armed opposition groups to join peace talks with Afghan government and it was agreed that specific steps will be taken in order to stop access to financial and material cooperation of terrorists. This will be done in order to end the ability of terrorists to train and recruit.
