Kuala Lumpur: First Islamic airline of Malaysia, Rayani Air has started its flight operations. According to the media reports, first flight of Rayani Air flew from the capital, Kuala Lumpur and landed in Langkawi. In the maiden flight of Malaysia’s first Islamic airline, all the passengers have been given completely Halal food, while drinking of alcohol was also prohibited according to its rule. This initiative has taken by the management of Rayani Air to provide completely Islamic environment and food to all the passengers during traveling. In Pakistan, PIA is doing the same practice with providing Halal food while alcohol is also not allowed.
While talking to the media, the managing director of Rayani Air, Jaafar Zamhari told that Hijab is mandatory for all the Muslim women of flight crew, while non-Muslim crew should have to wear decent dress. Prayers will be also recited before take off in the airline. Jaafar Zamhari said that Rayani Air is the first airline of Malaysia which has started its operations according to the Islamix rules, on the directions of concerned authorities. He also hoped that further good changes will be made in future, in order to make it fully according to the Shariah.
In Pakistan International Airline (PIA), women crew doesn’t take Hijab but Saudi Airline strictly follows this rule. In fact, Saudi Airline is also planning to introduce gender segregation, after receiving many complaints from the husbands claimed that men were sitting next to their wives during travel.
It is to be noted that there are many other airlines as well in the whole world, which takes care of Islamic practices for Muslim passengers during travelling.
