New Delhi: Once again a controversy has sparked as the news sources say that the 3 ODI match was a mere joke, an agreement made by the BCCI and PCB to fix the match, letting Pakistan to throw their last victory at the Ferozshah Kotla, Delhi giving away a clear white wash to the host team, the Indians at their own very battle ground.
Sources have still not confirmed the news but have presented the notion about the match fixing. It is said that the BCCI pressured PCB and asked the members to lose the third match, or otherwise the clean sweep by the Green shirts would ignite the media and the Indian citizens, leading the Indian cricketers to face very tough time as a consequence.
It is pertinent here to mention that couple of days ago, former wicketkeeper of England, Paul Nixon had also tweeted stating the 3 ODI match as fixed. He said that as the Pakistani players played and loss the match, looks nothing but a joke. Winning with such less runs, throwing the match by the fall of wickets clearly tells the truth, he said.
It is not for the first time that Pakistan agreed to fix the match as said by the BCCI, but number of times that matches are fixed and unfortunately our players and cricket board members fall prey to their wrong design. This attitude and pressure of PCB puts a question, would India ever lose the match if PCB asks so, no matter how favorable terms they provide? Indeed, after the nail biting matches losing to the arch rival despite of the easy target poses many questions!
