The Great Pakistani Circus has been in tow since March and plans to stay till 20th June 2015. It has been the main attraction for the people of Karachi with its mind blowing performances and entertainment. The event is organized two times a day at the KMC sports Complex. It is a venture by Lucky Irani Circus and a local advertising company. Nadeem Jaffri has been hosting the event clad in a magician outfit with long hair and a beard. Overall response of the circus has been really good as people keep on coming to the circus in large numbers.
Fortune also took me to the ‘Great Pakistani Circus’. I entered the circus with my family amidst a huge crowd of enthusiastic children and adults, all waiting eagerly for the show to begin. The show started at 7:30PM, as Nadeem Jaffri stepped in to familiarize the people with the concept and the theme behind the Great Pakistani Circus. The event started with the ‘Rope Performance’. A team of two girls and a boy left the crowd awed as they smoothly performed on a single thin rope that seemed insufficient to even stand on! The group performed dangerous tricks without losing their balance.
The next performance was of acrobatics, which involved a beautiful girl clad in a flashy outfit. Her slender and flexible moves kept the audience glued to their seats as the performance concluded amidst applause. The ‘Balance Board’ performance followed after, which was pretty amazing as the performer balanced himself on a pile of boards with the help of rola bolas.
The circus also included animal performances by our little furry friends. The dog show, the pony show and the chimpanzee show seemed to make the children happy. The show also had a clown show, a limbo dance, magic show, jugglers, strength power with iron and a trapeze act. The team of the ‘Great Pakistani Circus’ showed tremendous talent and skill in their acts. There were various foreign performers as well. The performers from Thailand, Ukraine and Russia have come to join the team of the Lucky Irani Circus Group. These performers have performed well creating a thrilling mood for the audience of Karachi.
The tickets are available at the venue as well and can be delivered at home also. The ticket is worth Rs 500. Don’t miss this mega attraction. The organizers have made a tremendous effort to arrange a unique entertainment package for the people of Karachi. So don’t miss it.
