KARACHI: Two different cases have been lodged against another MQM leader in two different police stations in the capital of city of Sindh, Karachi. Deputy Superintendent of Sohrab Goth Police Station (DSP) Muhammad Khalid Khan has said that the police of Super Highway Commercial area have lodged a case against MQM leader Waseem Akhtar. The case number is 415/2015.
The police officer has said that the case lodged against Waseem Akhtar includes section 123-A of Pakistan Penal Code, 124-A, Telegraph Act and section 7 of Anti-Terrorism Act of 1997.
On the other hand, another case under Telegraph Act has been lodged against MQM leader Waseem Akhtar in Sohrab Goth Police Station. The case number 279/15 includes section of Anti-Terrorism Act as well.
It is pertinent to mention here that a case against MQM leader Muhammad Anwar was also filed in a police station of Karachi yesterday. Waseem Akhtar has been the member of National Assembly from the constituency NA-251 of Karachi from 2008 to 2013.
It is pertinent to mention here that Waseem Akhtar has been adviser to the Chief Minister of Sindh on interior affairs in the era of ex-president Pervaiz Musharraf.
