Karachi: Tabba Heart Institute celebrated International Nurses Day week long activities from May 12 to May 16, 2014 by organizing various awareness sessions about cardiovascular diseases its risk factors and the ways for its prevention through Life Style modification and healthy diet, infection control & Diabetes, Angioplasty Pre & Post Care. International Council of Nurses suggested this years’ theme focusing nurses as force of change – A vital resource for health.
Tabba Heart Institute, as part of its Community Service Responsibilities organized session at Tabba Heart Institute on Basic Life Support & First Aid for non- health care providers to educate them how to rescue a person who needs immediate Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation. Interactive sessions for the hospital visitors were organized at hospital atrium.

Chief of Nursing, Tabba Heart Institute emphasized on all nurses to reflect deeply on this year theme and understand the actual role of a nurse. He further added that they must continuously adjust their knowledge and gain new skills to meet scientific advances to provide quality care in given settings.
