The sixth international conference on security, SECCON 2014 organized by MESSE International, a German event Management Company; held at a local hotel in Karachi yesterday. This year theme of the conference was counter terrorism and security technology.
Starting with a welcome address of Mr. Mohammad Imran, country Director MESSE international, a technical brief on the conference theme was presented by the conference chairman Mr. Sardar Shaukat Popalzai, President Balochistan Economic Forum.
The daylong conference was compressed of two panel discussions, one on business security chaired by Mr. Sardar Shaukat Popalzai and the other on solve my problem chaired by Brig(R) Rashid Ali Malik President world association of detectives.
Some of important presentations made by experts on the burning topic of terrorism that was on security leadership by Mr. Niaz A. Siddiqui, former IG Police Sindh, Protecting Banking Financial Institutions by Brig (R) M. Shaukat Farooq, Country Head Security of Standard Chartered Bank, role of private security agencies by Col (R) Tauqeer-ul-Islam, Chairman All Pakistan Security Agencies Association, creating a security conscious culture by a US citizen Mr. Saleem Idrees, seamless integrated security planning by a British security consultant Keith Rayson strategies for achieving national security by Mr. Sardar Shaukat Popalzai and the role of a security guard in our society by Brig (R) Rashid Malik. Moreover, Mr. Basit Kareem – CEO City links also remained the part of the panel discussion. Over 100 security practitioners attended the conference.
