Islamabad: Hearing was held for the murder case of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) MNA Manzar Imam under the three member bench headed by the Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhary. Supreme Court has ordered the Sindh Police to arrest the murderers of Manzar Imam till Wednesday (tomorrow).
The Chief Justice pointed out the lack efficiency of the police that the provincial law maker was gunned down along with his two body guards but the police couldn’t do anything. Furthermore he asked the Sindh chief secretary and police officials about the situation of unrest in Karachi. The secretary replied him that the situations of the city have improved. Chief Justice also inquired for the release of the killer of hundred people Ajmal Pahari and demanded the officials to submit the report regarding his release.
Many places of Karachi are still at unrest after the killing of MQM’s MNA Manzar Imam, and yet the assassinates are at large.
