Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan has warned the people not to get deceived by the fake prize winning schemes initiated by some certain irresponsible elements in the country. The scheme is being run through phone calls, web mails, SMS and through postal service where they greet people of winning heavy cash rewards worth thousands of dollars.
The bogus elements running fake schemes asks people to fill up the form with their specific details. For this, they present the people with State Bank of Pakistan’s Foreign Exchange Department fake application form.
They also demand the people for some initial clearance and an amount of money which according to them are submitted to Finance Ministry under Fund Registration Charges.
The wrongdoers are using the names and emails of foreign diplomats, corporates and State Bank’s Foreign Exchange Department. Here is an example of such bogus email,

Hence, we will like you to contact the finance house for the collection of this International Certificated Bank-Draft.
