Joseph Stalin is remembered as a Soviet leader who not only killed his enemies but was also brutal on his own countrymen. During his purges against political opponents and campaigns he killed millions which some claim to be 40 million.
On different occasions Stalin ordered killings of people but the most devastating were his three acts:
1) Elimination Of Kulaks (High class farmers)
2)Ukrainian Famine
3) Mass Execution through order no. 00447
Kulaks were high class farmers which soviet leader accused of being responsible for miseries of lower classes, they decided to eliminate the class by taking their lands & executing them on allegations.
This resulted to the Ukrainian famine which Soviet failed to handle resulting in deaths of 11 million people who died hungry.
Order no. 00447 was to eliminate the ‘enemies of state’ and ‘socially harmful elements’ from the society. It was a purge to eliminate anyone who criticized the barbaric regime and its failure to provide basic needs.
