As the holy month of Ramadan approaches, the Sindh government has announced new office timings to accommodate the spiritual and religious observances of its citizens. These changes aim to ensure efficient functioning while respecting the significance of Ramadan.
Five-Day Workweek
Government offices in Sindh will follow either a five or six-day workweek during Ramadan. For those operating five days a week, working hours will be from 10 am to 4 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 10 am to 1 pm on Fridays.
This adjustment allows employees to fulfill their work responsibilities while also having time for religious obligations.
Six-Day Workweek
For offices with a six-day workweek, timings will be slightly different. Employees will work from 10 am to 3 pm, Monday through Thursday and Saturday, and from 10 am to 1 pm on Fridays.
This schedule ensures that government services remain accessible to the public while accommodating the needs of employees during Ramadan.
Office Timings Across Pakistan
The federal government and the province of Balochistan have also implemented revised office timings for Ramadan. Federal government institutions will operate from 9 am to 3 pm, five days a week, with extended hours from 9 am to 2 pm on six working days.
Additionally, Balochistan offices will function from 9 am to 3 pm, Monday through Thursday, and from 9 am to 1 pm on Fridays, with a similar extension for six-day workweeks.
These adjustments in office timings reflect the government’s commitment to facilitating religious practices while ensuring the smooth functioning of administrative services.
By providing clarity and consistency in work schedules during Ramadan, authorities aim to promote productivity and accommodate the needs of both employees and the public.
