Saudi Arabian researcher Dr. Saeed Al-Jaroudi achieved a breakthrough in the treatment of cancer. After researching on gold as a treatment for cancer he received astonishing results.
He claimed that when the component was injected to cancer infected rat the results were incredible. According to Dr. Jaroudi the research will further go through two faces, in which gold component’s affect will be thoroughly studied on rats and then on human bodies. He said this may take at least 10 to 15 years before the medicine will be launched for patients.
Until now only platinum based drug ‘Cisplatin’ is being used to treat cancer from past 40 years which has many side effects. Another problem with Cisplatin is that cancer cells become immune to it after continuous use.
Dr. Jaroudi said until now gold had no side effects on human body and it was successful in stopping cancer growth in stomach and prostate cancer.
