Left handed opening batsman became new captain for remaining test matches of England tour. After Afridi’s retirement decision, Salman was really strong candidate in selected squad. Wicket keeper Kamran Akmal selected as vice captain in meeting hold on Saturday in which team management, senior players & chairman PCB Ijaz Butt was present. Matter to include Mohammad Yousuf & Younis Khan was also discussed but was overdue.
That meeting attended by these players Salman butt, Kamran Akmal, Umar Gul & Shoaib Malik. Team coach Waqar Younis & team manager Yawar Saeed was also there in meeting.
