Renowned scholar Khursheed Kaimkhani & Dr. Muhammad Ali Siddiqui Passed Away

Renowned Khursheed Kaimkhani passed away in Karachi hospital on 9th Janaury. He was 80. Mr. Khursheed Kaimkhani served in Army for 15 years and then turned into the field of research. He was famous in for his contributions in the field of anthropology, history and literature of gypsies, scheduled castes and other nomad tribes.

Also on 9th Jnauary Dr Mohammad Ali Siddiqui a critic, educationist and a scholar also passed away. He was 74. He wrote many books, most of which are critical analyses. He was awarded the President’s pride of performance award and also Sitara-i-Imtiaz.

Hakeem Mahmood Ahmad Barkati, a recipient of presidential award was killed in Karachi by unidentified men also on 9th January.
