Punjab Government bounds 23 religious parties from collecting Fitra and Zakat during Ramzan. These all 23 parties are also banned in Pakistan. Punjab government orders to police and concern departments to take serious action and restrict these parties to collect funds, Zakat, Fitra and Zakat al-fitr.
Sipah Sahaba Pakistan, Lashkar e Jhangvi, Pakistan Tehreek e Nafaz e Shariat Muhammadi, Hizb Ut Tahrir, Jamaat Ul Ansar, Jamaatul Furqan, Al-Qaeda, Lashkar e Taiba, Sipah Muhammad, Khuddam Ul Islamia, Pakistan Tehreek e Jafria, Islamic Tehreek ,Pakistan Millat e Islamia, Tehreek e Taliban Pakistan and other parties are included in list.
An interesting fact is that, some parties in given list never collected funds publically and they never did Fitra and Zakat campaign in last years but they are included in list. Hizb Ut Tahrir’s website says that they don’t collect Zakat but they are included in list every year. Lashkar e Taiba worked openly before 1999 in Nawaz Sharif era but now facing restriction from Shahbaz Provincial government. Many Jihadi organizations are facing same treatment from Punjab government.
Most of those parties based on sectarian or religion based. Surprisingly only five parties from Balochistan included in list but no nationalist of Punjab, Sindh and KPK are available in list that are involve in division of Pakistan.
