Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) which is regarded as one of the top candidates of gaining maximum number of seats in the upcoming general election has decided to launch “Save Pakistan Fund” campaign in order to support its candidates for the elections who have not sufficient resources to participate in the contest.
While talking to media on Wednesday, the PTI spokesperson said that the campaign would include party Chariman Imran Khan who will be appealing for donations in residential areas and business centres.
It is pertinent to mention here that PTI is facing serious pressure from its workers and leaders regarding giving tickets to the educated youth, as the general elections draws nearer.
The point that was considered during the meeting was that if party gives tickets to its educated young members then it would be difficult for them to run election campaign.
To solve this issue, Imran Khan and his close assistants decided to carry out nationwide fundraising campaign after the process of finalizing PTI candidates is completed.
However, the money recovered through this process would not be given to the participants directly in terms of hard cash but would be used in aiding them for pamphlets, banners, transport and other likely issues.
